Christmas with a 3 year old is just M*A*G*I*C*A*L. I had forgotten. I’m so glad that I get to remember.
It began with the Christmas tree.
As we got all the boxes out and the tree assembled, his level of excitement rose exponentially with each nativity, each decoration, each stocking that we unpacked. It just made my heart so happy to see the wonder in his eyes.
This year he really was a big help. The teenagers, of course, bolted and were too cool to help me decorate. But not this guy – he was at my side the entire day. He’s quite opinionated too – I think I’m just going to put him in charge next year and I’ll be the elf.
Yes – this is his personality to a “T”.
Given his wonderment of this holiday – it was no surprise to me that he could NOT wait for his preschool Christmas program. I think he asked me 5 times on the way to school that morning if I was going to stay with him and watch. I assured him that I’d be back and there was no way I was going to miss it.
Luckily I was able to sit very close to the front. When he saw me he was all smiles and waved with BOTH hands.
This is Little Man’s best bud, at least in his eyes. He talks about him ALL.THE.TIME. I think they get along quite well.
Now it’s normal in any 3 year old singing program for the kids to get slightly….bored. I was able to capture this phenomenon for you.
It was very hard for me to keep a straight face while watching this unfold.
But they did a fantastic job and the teachers timed it perfectly. The little restless stars were able to escape and eat their cupcakes in the nick of time!
I am so thankful for this Little Man and the magic that he’s experiencing this year! Makes it magical for all of us!
